Telugu actor Allu Arjun has found himself at the center of controversy following the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule.’ The event, held on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, resulted in a tragic incident where a woman lost her life and her son sustained injuries due to a stampede-like situation, reportedly incited by the actor’s presence, as fans sought to catch a glimpse of him.

A large crowd had assembled to see Allu Arjun, and the situation intensified when he acknowledged fans by waving from the sunroof of his vehicle. This led to the unfortunate death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her child.

On December 13, Allu Arjun was taken into custody and subsequently placed in 14-day judicial remand by a local court; however, he was later granted bail by the Telangana High Court and was released the following day.

On the evening of Sunday, a group of individuals carrying placards unexpectedly approached Allu Arjun’s residence in Jubilee Hills, engaging in sloganeering and throwing tomatoes. A case was filed against six members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC) for vandalizing the actor’s home, and they were granted bail on the subsequent Monday.

This incident has also sparked a heated political debate, with the BJP and BRS criticizing the Congress government, alleging that some of the assailants were affiliated with the Kodangal assembly constituency represented by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

In response to the unfolding events, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that despite the police denying permission, Allu Arjun visited Sandhya Theatre on December 4. However, the actor has denied these allegations. During a discussion in the Assembly, AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi brought up the issue, prompting CM Reddy to criticize Allu Arjun for conducting a roadshow and waving to the crowd, referencing circulating videos.
